Beef ban: Meghalaya BJP leader Bachu Marak was sabotaging party, says Nalin Kohli

Although two BJP leaders in the district in Meghalaya have left within a week, the leadership of the party is the least disturbed. He said the two leaders sabotaged the party and knew they were going to be abandoned in the next remodeling. Therefore, they have renounced the BJP, but the alibi of the slaughter of cows.
BJP District President in North Garo Hills, Bachu Marak, left the party because of the Center’s ban on the sale of livestock in supply markets. His resignation comes four days after West Garo Hills district chief Bernard Marak has given up the party in the same problem.
In his speech in India today by telephone from London, BJP’s national voice in charge of Meghalaya Nalin Kohli said the party is trying to modernize the state unit. A new computer is being created. A new state executive was appointed.
Kohli said that BJP has put a new state of the unit level just a few months. The next level is the reorganization of districts. The two leaders have left the party wanted to stand for the 2018 Assembly elections in Meghalaya. To this end, they sabotaged the other potential BJP candidates, he said.
“They both knew that they could not survive the reorganization process, so they left the issue of the slaughter of the cow,” Kohli said. The BJP leader said that people like both Maraks had no place in BJP. Some good people, including former lawmakers, joined the party and many others will in the next few days, he said.
“We did not discuss the upcoming Assembly elections on the issue of development. However, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Mukul Sangma, Congress tried to dispute everything that his lack of balance,” Kohli said.
Last week, Kohli had said that the BJP would not impose any state government to follow the rule of killing cows. All States are free to implement. By resigning the BJP, Bachu said he could not weaken Garos’s feelings. Like Garo, it was his responsibility to protect the interests of his community. Meat consumption was part of their culture and tradition, he said.
However, the leaders of the BJP feel that the Congress is in power after the resignations of Bachu and Bernard Marak Marak. Congress is trying to create obstacles for the BJP and defame them. The leaders of the BJP do not consider these resignations as a throwback to the party. “These people have no place in our organization,” they said.
